Bridgestone Lord of the Ring - The Winner

Lord of the Ring? Turned out to be Lady of the Ring Diana Morley, a part-time racer from Newcastle, NSW. Diana and her husband, Ben, won the trip of a lifetime to fast-lap the world’s most fearsome race track, the Nurburgring in Germany.

First up were exploratory laps in the fantastic French front-drive Renault Clio Cup Sport and Megane 225.

Then it was straight into the awesome BMW M3, and on to the razor-sharp Lotus Exige sports lightweight.

Hell, could the day get any better? Yes! The grand finale was a warp-speed run in a Porsche 997 GT3. It really does sound like a trip of a lifetime, doesn’t it? If so, keep reading Top Gear magazine – next year it could be you!

The event was hosted by Ron Simmons Racing who made sure the day went like clockwork. Ron was a star throughout the project, but saved his best performance for the day itself, when he was the ultimate host and instructor.
